Applesauce Recipe

2 apples

1 scoop of sugar

A dash of fun

A Heaping spoon of love

We added a little lemon to keep our apples fresh as we sliced.

We cooked ours for 10 mins.

LOVE our vitamix! We keep the skins on and no one really notices.

This is an important step.  Don't forget to cover your ears!

5 in the sled

(to the tune of 10 in the bed :)

There were 5 in the sled 
And someone said
Go faster
Go faster
So they all went faster 
And one fell out

At this point you stop, erase a person from the sled, count how many are left and start over!  We do this as a board s̶t̶o̶r̶y̶   song, a finger play or just something to sing together while we're outside.  It gets stuck in our heads and we can't stop!  

Reason #3,421 to go to preschool (at least part time)

We do stuff like this on a regular basis and we don't even mind cleaning up the mess!

I have a lot of hearts in my tummy

A love poem of sorts:

 I like you

You're so pretty

I want you to be here for everyday

And don't go for five days

I want you to be alive

And don't die

Wordless Wednesday

It's just shaving cream

and a few droppers in liquid water colors, BUT add a preschooler and the possibilities are endless!

A few of J's favorite letters to start off with.

We decorated cakes.

We quickly discovered we could make holes by dropping the liquid in the same spot over and over and over and. . .

We made flowers.  We made a "creamy ocean" and a "river with boats."

Then we made an amazing discovery!

The dropper works to pick up the shaving cream!

  

We spent a good 20 mins using the droppers before we felt brave enough to dive our hands right in.

Next thing you know we had "beards like Santa."

Side note:  Our messy art projects always have a wet towel standing by.  It works for clean up AND for comfort for those who don't really enjoy the mess, but can be convinced to partake every once and a while.
